HTML Coding Assessment

Welcome to the HTML assessment assignment for HU2650. This will *not* be graded, it is only a way for us to see where you are all at with HTML (so that we can teach some if need be).

This is also an assignment which will call on you to work by an honor code--no peeking at the page source info please! Otherwise it will defeat the purpose of this assessment. So, here's what you should do:

• Open your program of choice (Notepad, SimpleText, BBEdit, HTML Writer, etc.)
• Point your browser to http://www.hu.mtu.edu/~klarola/webdesign/ponies.htm
• Here you will find a series of 4 pages (completely silly, sorry). What you need to do is duplicate each page using HTML (you don't have to do the bottom links--pg1,2,3,4).
• Work at your own pace, if you don't know how to do them all don't sweat it. Once you are done, save each file in the following manner
  • Open the Groups Drive
  • Open "Classes"
  • Open "HU2650"
  • Here you will see a folder titled "web assessment", open it
  • Create your own folder here, title it your first name and last initial (JenniferS)
  • Save each page individually within your own folder, titled "ponies1.html, ponies2.html, ponies3.html, ponies4.html"
    note: on page 4, you don't have to create each page for each pony part, just show how you would make the links. Hint: Page 4 was made with a table.
