Course Description
This course is designed to introduce and provide experience with written, oral, and visual communication as they are used for technical and professional purposes. Through individual and collaborative projects, you will gain practice in researching, designing, and evaluating appropriate communications for varying rhetorical situations. Using both print- and computer-based technologies, you will develop abilities to create and critically analyze documents so that they engage and inform readers in a variety of circumstances.

Course Meeting Times and Places

  • English 218, section 6- MWF 8:30-9:20 in Milton Hall 167 (meet in EC III room 301 for computer lab days)
  • English 218, section 10- MWF 11:30-12:20 in Milton Hall 083 (meet in English 121 for computer lab days)
  • English 218, section 11- MWF 12:30-1:20 in English 126 (meet in English 121 for computer lab days)

 

Drop Dates
The last day to drop this course without it appearing on your academic record is September 10th.

The last day to drop this course with a "W" (withdrawl) on your transcripts is October 10th.

No drops or withdrawls will be granted after this date.
