Syllabus Response

The purpose of this assignment is to make sure that you read through the syllabus carefully so that you know both what I expect of you and what this course will ask you to do. Your response will also help me to understand better what you are most interested in and what you feel you might need the most help with. As you read through the syllabus keep the following questions in mind. Respond to these questions in 500 typed words and email it to me as an attachment at jasheppa@nmsu.edu (be sure that it is either a MS Word document or saved as text-only or RTF).

• Using your own words, how do you explain what this class is about?
• What do you see yourself learning from what we will do?
• What assignments, activities, or applications seem most interesting and why?
• What are you most nervous or concerned about and why?
• What grade do you want to earn in this class and how will you achieve it?
• What do you think will be the most important for you given what you hope to do academically as you continue on in your studies, recreationally, and professionally once you graduate?
• What strengths do you bring to class, in terms of experience with communication, collaboration, and technology, as well as in terms of practical experience, skills, and abilities? This does not have to relate directly to your major or this course.
