Course Expectations

The purpose of this activity is to help us establish some common ground about classroom activities and interaction. Please spend some time considering these questions before posting your thoughtful responses. You should also read and respond to the postings of at least two classmates.

• What elements make for a good learning experience in a graduate level course?
  
  
• When collaborating with classmates on assignments, what expectations do you have and why are they important?
  
  
• When participating in or facilitating classroom discussion, what expectations do you have for yourself and your classmates and why?
  
  
• As some class sessions will take place online, what expectations do you have about participation and interactions that will take place in that environment?
  
  
• If conflict occurs in class discussions, interactions or collaborations, what approaches would you take to help resolve the situation? What expectations do you have of classmates and the instructor with regard to conflict resolution?
