Week 1 Activity Directions

This week's class session will take place entirely online through Blackboard. The activities are designed to be done asynchronously and you will have until Sunday (1/23) at midnight to complete them. You are responsible for completing the following four activities and responding to postings by at least two classmates. Complete directions for each are available by clicking on the links.

  1. Self Introduction and Profile- designed to introduce yourself to your classmates and to provide background on your learning, teaching, and professional interests.

  2. Course Expectations- designed to help us as a class build a set of common expectations for interaction and learning experiences.

  3. Perceptions and Experiences of Online Learning- designed to help us begin discussion about the differences and special considerations of online learning and teaching.

  4. Response to Palloff and Pratt Chapter 1 Questions- designed to help us begin consideration of practical and theoretical concerns related to online learning and teaching.
